These chairs have never been used in a home. As part of the museum's permanent collection they were either on display or in their storage room and vice versa. less

These artful chairs are unique, custom one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces by Ronald C. Puckett of Virginia. Great expertise and a passion for craft are evident throughout their design and execution. They're carved and sculpted from blocks of solid wood and have many fine details. The vivid upholstery is also one-of-a-kind custom made and has been applied with great precision and care, as the fabric pattern is --exactly-- identical from end to end and from seat to back on each chair. The chairs are comfortable and provide excellent support as well as being works of exemplary American craftsmanship. So much so that the curators of the American Craft Museum chose this set of 6 chairs for their permanent collection in 1997.
Provenance: Permanent Collection of the American Craft Museum, now the Museum of Art and Design in NYC. Deaccessioned in 2022. less
