This pair of handled urn vases, in English Jade Glaze, are from one of the last 2 Celadon makers in the mountains of Chiang Mai Thailand.
They are made of stoneware - much heavier than ceramic. The glaze - English Jade green, is one of the two colors made in Thailand (the other being The more traditional Celadon Jade green). The glaze appears to be more of a wash of color with the classic crackle finish with a more concentrated dark green Jade color in the relief of the design. This English Jade green makes quite a statement on these beautiful urn vases.
Each vase measures 5.5” wide at the handles, 4.5” deep, 1”opening, 7” tall
