A vintage 3x8 Persian Gabbeh runner in the latest entries to Rug & Kilim’s curation of rare tribal pieces. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1950-1960.
On the Design:
This piece enjoys spade patterns in beige-brown & black, both unusual and very collectible in this charming provenance. Lush pile further exemplifies the cozy sensibility renowned in this provenance—the most primitive, collectible shabby-chic rug style. Keen eyes will admire off-white accents in the clubes, and red with other warm colors in a diamond-pattern border.
