The bench features shell carved cabriole legs ending in snail-form feet. The scrolling seat frame is center by a carved gilt wood medallion. The serpentine seat crest features a center carved cartouche. In addition to the benches unique frame, it is upholstered in the highest quality Italian wool damask chenille in a pattern reminiscent of William Morris designs.
