Colored crayons, with pastel
David Zak (Polish-Israeli artist) was born in Warsaw Poland in 1904. He emigrated to Palestine in the 1920's settle in Jerusalem. His work has been shown all around the world. He is best known for his use of pastels to create paintings with the same expression of oils. He designed posters for the state of Israel and for the JNF (Jewish National Fund) Along with other famous artists of the period like Yosl Bergner, Kopel Gurwin and Jean David.
He is in the collections of The Albright Knox gallery
