The painting most likely dates to the 1970's or 1980's. Measuring 24 1/2" by 18 3/4" in narrow black wood framing, its heritage can be traced directly to the Suprematist movement launched in 1915 by important Russian artist Kasimir Malevich. The radical abstract movement emphasized geometric forms in space including lines, squares and circles, painted in a limited range of colors. This painting exhibits very light surface soiling in a few places but essentially it is in excellent condition, ready to enhance your modern or Mid Century interior. See less
