In the form of a casket on shell, being pulled by a fantastical sea creature. Casket lid opens to reveal storage. There is a slot in the top to allow for a rectangle of flint paper. Finely detailed and beautifully cast. High quality and heavy. Not gilt but still looks like gold, as was surely intended. Probably French. A rare and special piece. less
