Beautiful condition. It is a beautiful hand-engraved shell form Italy hand-engraved by Master Carver Borriello. Borriello was founded in 1958 in Torre del Greco, a commune in the Metropolitan City of Naples in Italy. They are dedicated with great passion to the creation of hand-engraved cameos on shells. Each and every cameo they make is a miniature work of art. And cameos make memorable gifts. This does have the signature: M + M Scognamiglio. I have been told that it is vintage, perhaps circa 1970s, however, I do not have a creation date.

It does need to be cleaned, I was afraid to do so. I'm not too familiar with sea shells and didn't want to damage it with any cleaning chemicals.
