The Sterling Silver Handle is an … more This is a Absolutely Beautiful Vintage - Antique Hand Held Desk Top Magnifying Glass. The Sterling Silver Handle is an Original Antique and it has an Assortment of English Hallmarks Include the "Lion Passant" Sterling Mark, and a King George III Head - Profile indicating that it was made During His Reign - 1786 to 1821. It also Has a Couple Other Hallmarks that I Could Not Identify. This Handle Would Have Been Taken from a Piece of Cutlery - Most Likely a Dinner Knife and then Professionally Custom Made - Repurposed Into a Magnifying Glass During the Mid 20th Century. It is in Very Nice Condition - Displays Beautifully. Lightly Tarnished and Light Age Wear to the Handle. The Magnifying Lens Has Very Good Optics and is Mounted in a Nickel Silver Bezel.
It Measures 8 1/4 inches Tall x 3 5/8 inches Long x 1 inch Wide at Handle.
