This abstract figurative sculptures by Gal Melnick is from here latest body of works. It is a laser cut metal sculpture which is painted with automotive paint and is part of an edition of 6.
Both sculptures are included in this work: The pink one is 180 cm high and the white one is 145 cm high.
They are both mounted on a wooden base, 80 cm in diameter, as seen in the pictures and video.
It comes signed and numbered, and it can also be custom size and painted in different colors.
The sculpture also comes with a certificate of authenticity from Contempop Gallery.
"My works are compositions of shapes and colors, which creates a dialog between different mediums. I find inspiration in various subjects such as nature, mythologies, modern culture and the interaction between the banality of everyday life with imaginary worlds. I’m always curious to examine the transformation of two dimensional shapes and lines into three dimensional objects.
My interest is to create a situation in which the objects begin to lose their relation to place, time and form."
