The color is medium red with slight orange undertone. The lamp finial is a polished stone in an irregular oval shape. There is a very small spot with loss of color which I tried to show in the last picture. As can be seen from the documentation that was kept with the lamp, the lamp was given as a wedding gift in 1924 and the ebonized base was added in 1964 (probably can be removed if desired). I was told it may be Royal Doulton but did not remove the base to verify. The lamp is on working order and a new cord added at some point. No lamp shade is included. This is a timeless classic design that fits into modern or traditional settings. The lamp is 27" high from the base to the top of the finial. It is 19" around at its widest point. The base is about 8" diameter. less
