It is a work by Eduard Chimot (1880-1958), a French artist who worked in Paris in the early part of the 20th century. Chimot was an artist, illustrator and editor whose career reached its peak in the late 1920s. He was well-known for his work with illustrated books and his drawings of female nudes. This lithograph of a nude woman with a shawl typifies his lifelong devotion to the female nude. This is an image done in soft neutral tones and shows a beautiful woman looking at her viewer She is a tender figure who is seductive and alluring. The lithograph is signed by Chimot.
