This is a regal green and gold antique pedestal foot urn/vase made in Czechoslovakia in 1920, after WWI, when the country was recognized as a nation. It is so rich with the gild accents and especially the two ram side handles. The Angela Kaufmann image on the front is framed in embossed gilding and transfer printed, a method of decorating pottery or other materials using an engraved copper or steel plate from which a print on paper is produced and then transferred by pressing onto the ceramic piece.
This piece is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. You can see the Kaufmann signature on the image (sorry, I was unable to capture it with my camera).
This is a special piece and very rare.
It stands about 13 ½” tall and from handle to handle, it is 9.” The diameter of the top of the vase is 6 ½”
