Background about the Artist

James C. Myford (1940-2014) first became interested in Aluminum after attending a workshop sponsored by Alcoa in the Pittsburgh Art Center in 1970. With his love of aluminum sparked, he begun creating sculptures out of cast aluminum, a venture which quickly paid off as he had gotten his first one-man art exhibition by 1972. Since then he has created and sold many pieces with him producing about 10-15 pieces a year with some of his larger pieces taking the entire year to complete. Unfortunately, James Myford passed away at the age of 73 in 2014. less
