A good early 19th century brass chamberstick, the baluster is beautifully turned with incised ring decorations around the stem while … more A good early 19th century brass chamberstick, the baluster is beautifully turned with incised ring decorations around the stem while a single knob in the center allows the candlestick to be raised and remnants of the wax removed after use. A large dish captures falling wax with a large circular finger-ring affixed with rivets to the edge; the baluster joins through the dish with a broad wrought-iron hand-forged washer through which the screwed post is attached using a brass nut, both the nut and end of the screw having been peened down and flattened for a permanent joint.

Condition Report:
Good original condition. Wear to brass throughout as expected with a very nice overall patina to the surface. Remnants of wax, verdigris and brass polish in crevices throughout. Light dings/dents. less
