This lithograph is composed of 2 design panels. The decorative Chinese craft of using lacquer on wood is represented in these sepia prints. The craft of applying successive layers of lacquer was discovered by European artists and enjoyed success in France between 1910 to 1930. This lithograph dates to 1925 and captures the essence of the lacquerwork. The artistry of these Chinese botanicals reflect beautiful detailing and intricacies typical of Chinese art from this period. Note this in the branches, leaves, and blossoms. This a rare and unusual work in horizontal format; measures 13 ½ x 8.75 inches. The entire lithograph is 15.75 x 11.75 inches. Excellent, clean condition. See companion images in our shop.
