Antique early 19th century English George III Old Sheffield plate silver on copper photophore or candlestick lamp. Complete with blown and etched glass hurricane shade, circa 1810. In the Egyptian Revival taste - the base decorated with papyrus or water leaf design.
Measures 19 3/4" tall x 5 3/4" diameter at the base and rim of the shade. The Sheffield base has lost much of its silver and is tarnished - presents well as a shabby chic object in original period condition. less
