- Here is a lovely Victorian silverplate water pitcher with a hinged lid and floral motif which is etched on the … more Here is a lovely Victorian silverplate water pitcher with a hinged lid and floral motif which is etched on the front and embossed on the spout and the edge of the lip. The finial on the top of the lid and the raised designs on the handle lean to art nouveau so I would expect this was made at the end of the Victorian period. The pitcher is 13 inches tall to the top of the finial 10 inches wide from the tip of the spout to the widest part of the handle. The base is 6 1/2 inches in diameter and is marked Royal Mfg. Co. There are some dents, finish loss and tarnish throughout the piece but it is in fine shape for it's age. less
