This is a vintage Maynard Anthony Freeman & Gerald McFarlin owl figurine (circa 1960s - 1970s), a classic favorite among fans of the potters of the era and collectors of owl figurines.
Done in a smoky greyish-brown, it's the large amber-colored glazed eyes that appeal to admirers, much like many of the animal figures Freeman & McFarlin created between the 1950s and early 1970s when the business partners had each sold their stakes in the company to Hagen-Renaker, which ceased operations in the mid 1980s.
The owl measures approximately 6" x 4 1/2" x 7" less
