I've shown photos of a close-up of some of the scroll work design so you can see that this was not the best refinishing job in the world. However, I know it has not been touched since the 1980s so perhaps it is some kind of aging. The mirror does have some blurring around the edges but it is usable. less

Lovely mid to late 1800s washstand is … more This was purchased out of an estate in Carrolton Kentucky in the 1980s. Lovely mid to late 1800s washstand is oak wood with an unusually-shaped mirror. The mirror is primitively attached by using an old nail as the dowel. Note the towel bar just below the mirror. There's a drawer and cabinet space below for nice storage. The drawer is 26" x 12 1/2" x 5". The mirror is beveled. The mirror frame is 21 1/2" from point to point. These are such a nice size for nightstands or in smaller spaces and they are great for storage. There is contact paper in the drawer and cabinet. The raised design on the doors are identical so I'm not sure if they're missing a piece or if that is the design?! Either way it matches and has been that way for a very long time! The dimensions below are for the top; the cabinet itself is slightly smaller. less
