It's finished in the Vienna bronze technique which began in Austria around 1850. The process casts bronze using the “cire perdue” method. He is painted in brown and burnt umber colors. Some of the paint finish is worn revealing the metal beneath and various depths of color. This handsome piece would look lovely sitting by in a library or executive office! less
