- This stunning and hallmarked signed hinged vintage box is the the master silversmith from the 1950's named Sigi Pineda. It … more This stunning and hallmarked signed hinged vintage box is the the master silversmith from the 1950's named Sigi Pineda. It is a beautiful combination of polished brass interior top with rosewood base and brass bottom and feet. The top is a combination of a silver abstract design with sodalite, turquoise and crushed stones. It has all been polished and clean to the best it can be. Great for a desk, console, cocktail table or library. It has good weight to it. Pineda was born in Taxco Mexico and at the young age of 23 opened up his first shop. All of those great silversmiths from that time period were all interconnected at some point. less
