Marion Maas (New York 1930), whose subjects include landscapes, still lifes, and figural paintings, works in a range of styles, some of which resemble Cubism, and some of which recall Post-Impressionist Paul Cézanne and Fauvist Henri Matisse.
Throughout her career, Maas’ work has been exhibited and collected by numerous institutions including the Queens Museum of Art, the Ridgewood Art Institute, the Salmagundi Club, the Godwin-Ternbach Museum, and the Islip Art Museum among many others. Not long after her career and work were featured in an article in the Queens Chronicle, Maas retired in 2014. Signed lower right. Painting, 16" x 12". See less
