Two beautiful museum replicas of the Seated Statue of Sennefer, his wife Senetnay and daughter Mutnofret with golden accents and hieroglyphs engraved on the seat.
The original/authentic statue which was unearthed in the Karnak Cachette provides a remarkable compendium of Egyptian statuary, and form a sort of art history of sculpture throughout Egypt's history. The ancient Egyptian noble Sennefer was "Mayor of the City" (Thebes) and "Overseer of the Granaries and Fields, Gardens and Cattle of Amun" during the reign of Amenhotep II of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Being a favorite of the king he accumulated great wealth. He was also allowed to place a double statue of himself and his wife in the temple at Karnak.
Material: black stone with golden accents.
Sold as a pair.
