Refinished with a dark walnut stain and sealed with french wax. These tables were the actual tables craftsman would create their furniture on. The old marks of saws and nails that are now perfectly sanded to so the wood is soft as skin to the touch, give it character. One solid piece of walnut that is almost 4 - 5" thick makes the piece so special. The shelf below was put on later in its life... and serves as great functionality. All four feet are perfectly level and the top is as good as flat and able to display anything on top. Circa 1850 Acquired in Lyon, France. less
