Exquisite and rare, antique, silver soldered/ silverplate, tea set/ coffee service with flower finials by Gorham Mfg Co circa 1869. This set is in great condition and includes coffee pot, teapot, hot water pot, sugar bowl with lid, creamer and waste pot. Each piece is adorned with flower finials and knobs, domed lids with beaded rims and floral designs where the handles meat the bodies. The handles on the pots are removable by turning the knobs. One side is monogrammed "M". in a shield and the other side has a blank shield. This set is very rare. I've poured over every document and book regarding Gorham and can't find the name of the set or any others like it. Absolutely stunning pieces.
Measurements approx: Coffee pot 11 3/4" tall x 10" handle to spout, teapot and hot water pot (although hot water pot a fraction smaller but too hard to measure exact) 10 1/4" tall x 9 1/2" wide, sugar bowl 8 1/2" tall x 7" wide , Waste bowl 5 1/4" tall x 7 1/4" wide, creamer 5" tall x 4 1/2" wide.
Makers Marks: Gorham Mfg Co 0210 Silver Soldered and letter B for the date mark of 1869
