Features include balloon backs with shaped splats, front and back cariole legs with carved knees and ball and claw feet. Back splats have great scroll carving. Baloon shaping of the seats as well, extraordinary craftsmanship. Beautiful burling and patterning in the walnut veneers. Chairs produced during the centenial and world's fair period in the 1890's.
