The places where the side rails fit into the headboard and footboard have been shored up with some wood glue and metal plates. None of them seem to affect the structural integrity of this piece. It will need new side rails. Please message us if you need suggestions for where to find some. Home depot carries some and they have a 30 day return policy so you have time to make sure they'll fit the bed. less
