- This vibrant Murano glass sculpture that is handblown is signed Formia Murano and from the 80's. It is like an … more This vibrant Murano glass sculpture that is handblown is signed Formia Murano and from the 80's. It is like an abstract painting of blobs of color abstractions in glass. The wave pattern of the glass top is like an explosion of beautiful colors all juxtaposed. The base is black glass and the parts are attached. The blobs of cobalt blue, red, pink, light green, light turquoise have different intensities depending on the play of light. This is from the 80's. Formia was a very well respected and collected glass company on the island of Murano and is no longer in existence and closed. They were a major company started in 1962 and produced lovely works of glass .This will bring great energy and beauty in your home.
