- Cast iron and porcelain street sign, marking the intersection of G Street and North 5th Street, notorious hang out for … more Cast iron and porcelain street sign, marking the intersection of G Street and North 5th Street, notorious hang out for "working girls" during the early part of the 20th century. OK, I made that last part up. Origin is unknown, but research indicates possibly Philadelphia. Stamped "LYLE SIGNS MPLS" (Minneapolis). I took a brass wire wheel to it, followed by 000 steel wool and WD-40. A lot more could be accomplished with more aggression, but I like my old things to look old, yet be clean enough to display in one's home. Measures 18.5" tall, and 19.5 inches wide. The lower sign (5th St.) is missing its end caps. less
