Murano is an Island in Venice, Italy that has a Long-Tradition of Generational Glass Making. It is also known as "The Glassblowing Capital of the World." The works of art from this area date back to the Roman Empire in the 8th Century. In the 1960's a Kiln from that time period was found on the Island.
The Glass Makers were Required to Keep their Glassblowing Techniques Secret to Safeguard the Secret Glassblowing Techniques and Trade Secrets.
