GREAT PROVENANCE! FULLY CERTIFIED! This is a gorgeous Authentic Original Hand-Signed Etching by Listed American Satirist, Charles Bragg (1931-2017). Painter, sculptor, and illustrator of commentary on human behavior, Charles Bragg often injects his sense of humor and appreciation of satire into his subjects, many which are cartoonish and seem half human and half animal.
This iconic etching is a premier example of Bragg's work. The imagery is stunning and poignant. It is hand-signed in pencil in the lower right, titled "Commodities Market" in the center, and numbered 130/150. Done on lovely raw edge Arches paper. The original matting is included but it is not conservation matting so we recommend replacing it when selecting framing. The original Certificate of Authenticity and invoice (dated 1980) from Collier Art Corporation are included. A must-have for the serious collector.
