At the front there is a set of chess pieces in boxwood and ebony, that are held in place with metal pegs. There is a removable box inside that contains a set of checker/backgammon pieces, dominoes, and dice. Below there is a space to store card decks. The hinged top contains a folding leather board which has three uses: chess/checker, backgammon, and Steeple Chase. It is engraved "Paul Lynch 10.4.64" as a gift in 1964 but was constructed in the late 19th century. less
