A very beautiful and excellent ladies bronze with very beautiful revealing design from the early 20th century, which shows a beautiful ballerina who stands in shy, yet irritating pose 'en pointe' and wears a gerapy skirt, with excellent color and very fine hand -carved details. She stands on a black marble base with her delicate beautiful legs and only poses for her.
paul philippe (polish, 1870 ~ 1930) born in thorn in poland, he became a student of antonin larroux when he moved to paris. He successfully exhibited in all french salons. Philippe worked in art nouveau and art deco; his bronze, bronze and ivory figures are popular with collectors worldwide.
art-déco period: the name of the art-déco is derived from the large paris exhibition in 1925, the lexpation internatlional of the arts dcoratifs et industriels modernes, but the term is generally to the typical artistic productions of the 1920s and 1930s today years applied. It was best to describe it as an attempt to combine art with industry, to record the machine age and to restore the old antithesis of the visual and industrial art. The sources of the art deco movement include egyptian and maya art, cubism, fauvism and expressionism, which strongly influence the main force of the entire art deco with a focus on geometric patterns.
