An 20th century Spanish baroque desk, or writing table made of solid walnut with lyre shaped legs joined by wood … more An 20th century Spanish baroque desk, or writing table made of solid walnut with lyre shaped legs joined by wood stretchers. Hand carved decoration across the front and the back. Two drawers with original iron drawer pulls. The top is made from a single plank of walnut and is slightly warped. Beautiful grain and nice character to the wood with some rough edges and a split on the top from the right. Waxed patina. Metered top and pegged construction. Finished on all four sides enabling it to be used as a centre table, sofa table, console or desk. Minor signs of restorations. Great feeling and sense of history. Born in Spain in the first decade of the 20th century, this exquisite walnut table features a rectangular planked top sitting above two drawers in the front. The table is raised on a trestle base, made of two Baroque style carved legs connected to one another through wood stretcher. The result is one of complete elegance, making this Baroque style Spanish table circa 1900 a great choice to decorate any living room or kitchen.
