The " Transition " square shape form dinnerware set is designed by Gerald Gulotta, made in Switzerland in 1970 by Block Langenthal of fine porcelain ceramic. The " Evolution " pattern features beautiful Mid Century Modern style Abstract design details in a gorgeous ochre mustard, goldenrod yellow, chocolate, and sienna brown palette.

Gerald Gulotta ( B. 1921 ) is an internationally renowned designer of ceramics, glassware, silver and stainless steel cutlery during the 1960's and 1970's. A former professor at The Pratt Institute in New York. His sleek, elegant tabletop designs look as Contemporary today as they did during the height of his career. His pieces have been exhibited worldwide and are in the collections of many prestigious museums including The Smithsonian Institution, Museum of Contemporary Crafts, and The Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, among others.

The large set of Mid Century Modern porcelain dinnerware is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and very light wear. There is light scratches to the large serving platter, 1 dinner plate with very small chip on underside edge, 1 dinner plate with 2 small hairline chips, and 1 cup with very small chip on top rim edge.
