- Original Catalogue Description "This magnificent bonnet-top solid cherry highboy is considered one of the most distinguished reproductions ever produced by … more Original Catalogue Description "This magnificent bonnet-top solid cherry highboy is considered one of the most distinguished reproductions ever produced by the Statton furniture craftsmen. Representative of the Queen Anne style, the original dates about 1765 and is attributed to the prominent Massachusetts cabinet maker, major Benjamin Frothingham, who worked in Charlestown from 1756 to 1809. The unique shell and acanthus leaf motif on the carved drawer fronts, a virtual Frothingham trademark, is recreated by the nearly lost art of hand carving." This extraordinary chest of 11 drawers is in exceptional condition, with impressive brass pulls and beautifully embellished brass keyhole covers. This piece will surely add elegance and unparalleled beauty to its intended space. less
