Used during the 1700s and 1800s to slide half wheels of cheese and loaves of bread up and down long tables at mealtime. A beautifully crafted and well preserved serving piece. It is labeled on the underside "London, England, Old Cheese Tray 1800". There are four mends on the underside corners where the original casters would have been placed.

The cheese coaster measures 15.5 x 9.75 x 7 inches.
