English Bronze and Ormolu Pineapple topped Urns with Reversible Candlestick Tops,
Circa 1815-30
The pair of bronze urns rest on an ormolu flaring foot which rests on a two-step bronze square base. The ormolu handles in the form of dolphins are applied to each side and encircling each is a band of swirling ormolu leaves. The pierced top is surmounted by an ormolu and bronze pineapple while a band of ormolu acanthus leaves surrounds the rim. The top is reversible to form candlesticks.
