Offering a stunningly gorgeous cobalt glass-embellished Czechoslovakian “beaded basket” chandelier from the 1920s or so (discreetly marked “Made in Czechoslovakia” on the upper brass ring, where the two pieces attach).
The glass is in superb condition, no chips or scratches apparent (after all, it’s been hanging out of reach throughout these years!). Each cobalt glass square is beveled on all four sides, adding to the fixture’s visual drama. The multi-faceted cobalt finial at the bottom is in a category all by itself…
Rewired and capable of hosting a standard-based bulb of whatever wattage you prefer. I recommend a clear bulb for maximum visual impact, as the filament creates additional sparkle in all the glass elements.
Note the wonderful gradation of the beads from top to bottom.
Three thumb screws hold the bottom half onto the top half, allowing easy access to the bulb.
A striking, elegant addition to the home!
