Haeger Potteries is well known for their original pottery pieces, as well as producing classic styles. They were adventurous with many of their glazes, bringing new colors and finishes to the Mid-Century modern loving customers. I researched this style and only found a handful of them. It has a very classic Greek/Roman era feel to it and a beautiful muted orange/gold based glaze with gold accents. The inside of piece is a deep black. The piece is in very good vintage condition. I cannot detect cracks or crazing. There are some teeny tiny "flea bites" on base and on one side of rim. Very hard to see, do not affect beauty of piece. Aside from the different style of handles, the piece is long and flatter than most vases. It would be a great piece to decorate a mantel or thinner shelf that can not accommodate a rounder style. I love estate sales.....you find the coolest things. See less
