The decoration looks like icing on a cake. The interior is the original gold patina. The outside has been painted and restored on one side (the back) albeit not by a talented restorer. Still overall it is a wonderful conversation piece and is finished in the palest grey. Looks great with all sorts of plants from something tall and grand like a palm to a lower green such as a fern. Lovely strong accent in any decor. Circa 1930. less
