This antique Chinese Altar Table is Circa the early 19th century. The relief carvings of traditional Chinese "Auspicious" patterns decorate the front spandrels of the table. The side panels of the table are intricately carved with a "Ganoderma" design. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. This is a very heavy table with great details of handwork. Made from the core of elmwood with beautiful natural wood grain. the table has been kept in excellent condition. Original patina and wear.
