This Authentic Antique Chinese Treasure Trunk is handmade in elegant Ming style. The trunk was originally made for storage of Gold or silver bars and coins for wealthy family before paper money used in ancient China. The trunk is four-sided and in excellent condition from all sides. There is a small panel on top of the trunk used for opening. The trunk has great storage space and can be used as Coffee Table. The trunk is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Original patina and Hardware. Made from Elm wood with beautiful wood grain, the trunk is very solid. Circa early of 19th century. original Copper hardware.
