The lustrous amber glow envelops this fine example of XVIII century craftsmanship. The case and the drawers are finely dovetailed, and the drawer fronts boast the distinct bird’s eye pattern. The beautifully shined period-appropriate escutcheon, pulls, and hinges are made of solid brass.

The paneled lid drops down to rest on two pull-out supports and reveals plenty of compartments to organize your paperwork and correspondence - ten cozy pigeonholes and three convenient pull-out drawers. The working lock and key provide the privacy you may require for your most important papers. The key works only for the slant desk, not for drawers.

This piece is structurally sound and has been treated with great care. The visible marks and signs of age show off its history and add a lot of character.

With its four large drawers, this excellent secretaire offers an ample amount of storage space in a very distinguished form. Equally impressive in a study, a library, or any other room that might use a convenient writing surface, this striking piece is sure to add quiet dignity and elegance to your decor.
