sigfried giedion, werner max moser and rudolf graber, the founders of wobag (later wohnbedarf) started selling the original thonet-made le corbusier’ chaise longue’s already in the 1930s.

not much later, wohnbedarf ag also acquired production rights:
the lc4 produced by embru-werke in switzerland for wohnbedarf can therefore be considered one of the earliest licensed re-editions, far before cassina acquired production rights.
