These chairs are from the so-called Meander series designed by Rudolf Wolf in the 1960s. Produced at van Gaasbeek & van Tiel in the Netherlands. The frames are made of metal and completely black lacquered. Remarkably, the width between the front and rear legs differ from each other. They are completely re-upholstered with a combination of two exclusive and high quality fabrics. This set, consisting of 6 chairs type Alpha, surfaced in early 2022 and has been restored to its former glory as far as the upholstery is concerned. The frames have been left entirely original, and are in neat vintage condition, with appropriate minimal patina.
