Large antique 19th-century porcelain china or ironstone serving platter with scalloped corners and brilliant lime green broad border detail. Quail and pheasant game bird motif. Marked: LS&S Carlsbad Austria.
Generously sized, probably originally made to serve the very same birds as pictured. We see this piece as a gorgeous display item for whenever not in use, either hung on a wall or as a table centerpiece styled with gourds and such! There is a tight stable hairline crack and edge wear to the gold gilding, consistent with age and use of the piece. (Please note the platter is white, the off-white background tone seen in three close-up photos is a lighting issue, and not the actual color.)
