The plaque has a classical scene to the central cartouche and jeweled decoration throughout.

Simply a wonderful early box!

Late 19th or Early 20th Century

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.

Condition Details:
There are a few light dings and indentations here and there, some rubbing to the gold, and minor losses to the jeweling on the enamel plaque. Otherwise, there are some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Marks:
The interior rim is struck with what appears to be an early Austrian hallmark. The base has a zig-zag mark typical of Austrian and German export silver.
