Dress up your Spring table!
Laurent’s son Michel created these figural forms as containers for selling his fathers pâté in their luxury food shop. They rose in popularity as their patrons sought to collect all of the different animal terrines that were made. Each form contained the pâté made from the animal represented.
The small two-piece rabbit terrine is molded and glazed by hand, the lid lifts off to show a shallow serving bowl. The white rabbit with his pink nose and eyes sits holding his black ears high. Charming detail to the mold.
The bottom is printed: Cette piece en faience veritable, a ete entirement realisee a la main. Je nous la propose en exclusivite. – Michel Caugant
Translation: This piece is true faience and was made entirely by hand. I want to recommend it exclusively.
